Stefanie is passionate about raising awareness around perinatal mental health. Her motherhood journey motivated her to start Project Afterglow to support women and their families in the pre and postnatal period. Stefanie has more than 15 years’ experience working in the mental health and addiction fields both in the USA and Australia. She is a Registered Counsellor (ACA) and has a Bachelor’s degree in Counselling Psychology (USA) and a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counselling (USA). Stefanie believes knowledge is power and looks forward to providing women and their families with resources and support.
Stefanie hosts ‘Muma Morning’ at The Garden which is an opportunity to learn about postpartum wellness; how you can nurture yourself, baby and family after birth. Here you can gather and share information, have a cuppa, meet other mothers/parents and explore your journey into motherhood.
Muma morning will focus on postpartum wellness:
• Developing a postpartum plan for health and wellness
• Learning the signs and symptoms of postnatal depression and anxiety and how you can get help if needed
• Learning about pre and post-natal services and resources in your area
• Exploring strategies to embrace and reclaim your afterglow
